Biblical Ephesus Tour Itinerary:

  • Your tour guide will meet you at your pick-up location. You will be briefed about the tour & town and Ephesus on the way. One of the stops is the Temple of Artemis where you will spend 10 to 15 minutes.
  • After you are dropped off at the Ephesus ruins gate, you will explore the Ephesus site. Some of the highlights of Ephesus ruins are; the Hadrian Temple, Celsus Library, and Grand Theatre.
  • While exploring Ephesus ruins, you will visit Double Church (The Church of Mary) where the third ecumenical council was convened in A. D. 431.
  • Your driver will pick you up at the lower gate of Ephesus and you will drive to The House of Virgin Mary.
  • After visiting The House of the Virgin Mary, you will have a lunch break in a local Turkish restaurant with traditional Turkish food.
  • You will visit The Basilica of St. John, a great church in Ephesus. Constructed by Emperor Justinian in the 6th century, it stands over the so-believed burial site of John the Apostle.
  • The last stop will be at The Seven Sleepers’ Cave where the seven men were thought to have been buried and a church was constructed over this place.
  • Drive back to the departure location with your guide.
  • Your program can be customized depending on your timing as you wish with your guide.
